College Planning Specialists:

I have an irresistible offer for you….

My Student-Athlete Rx Program will DOUBLE Your College-Planning Leads And Referrals In ONE YEAR!

…Try It For One Year And If I’m Not Right… I’ll Give Your Money Back!

Dear College Planning Professional,

You heard me right, try my Student-Athlete Rx Program for one year and if it doesn’t DOUBLE your number of leads and referrals after one year, then I’ll promptly return your money. How can I make this outrageous claim? Because I know that if you implement the step-by step-procedures in the program you will actually increase your leads by:

400%

How do I know this? Take a look at what other advisors have done with the Student-Athlete Rx Program.

I’ve been a successful college financial planner for 6 years and a Tuition Rx member for two. But as soon as I implemented your athlete program my phone’s been ringing off the hook! Parents of athletes just seem to be more interested in helping their kids than with regular students. Your “athletic scholarship” ad pulled 3 times the number of calls. Thanks!

Tom Sweeney

Ron: You were right! Parents take it out on the coach if their kid doesn’t get recruited. Being a former coach I quickly made appointments with a HS AD and two coaches. They loved your Student-Athlete Rx program because they know it will take them off the hook. Great idea!

Bill Augustine

Hi Ron,

Your Student-Athlete Rx program turned the corner on my marketing. Next fall all my marketing will be directed solely toward athletes, baseball in particular. The program is easy to implement and really helps people. It’s taken my financial services business to the next level and beyond. I’ve never come close to Top Of The Table before. This is awesome.

Pierce Mahar

Had an appointment with an AD of a district that has over 7,000 student athletes. He LOVES the idea of getting our resource into the hands of every family with student athletes from grades 7-12. Thanks to the idea from your financial planner story, I’m going to have him endorse and recommend the program as I take it with me to surrounding districts. In other words, what I'm doing is "Building my name recognition on his name recognition". Great idea!

By the way, within an hour driving distance, there are 50 school district athletic directors to see.

Just like dominos. . .

Eddie Carlton

Ron: Looks like the Fairfax, VA school system is going to let me approach all 25 HS athletic boosters clubs to promote the Student-Athlete Rx program. Like you said, this system is hot and will open up doors quickly. You were right!

Terry Johnson

Student-Athletes… A Ready- Made Market

  • Do you like sports, or are you currently involved in sports in any way?
  • Were you an athlete, or involved in athletics in the past?
  • Do (or did) your children participate in athletics?
  • Are you currently involved in an athletics boosters club?
  • Do you personally know a recognized athlete in your area?
  • Do you currently coach, or work with a youth group or athletic team?
  • Do you have contacts in the sports, or athletics field (sports editors, announcers, referees)?

If you can say YES to any of the above questions, then the Student-Athlete Rx program will give you a ready-made market for your financial planning practice.

The Student Athlete Rx Program

The Student-Athlete Rx program is a client acquisition system specifically designed to help families of student-athletes get recruited by colleges and maximize their scholarship offers. By using the Student-Athlete Rx program to achieve this goal, the financial advisor can transition into financial planning and get more clients faster and easier than ANY other marketing system.

Would you like to:

  • Get more prospects into seminars?(Parents want their student-athlete to get an athletic scholarship, but nobody else is telling them how the recruiting process works, how they can fail, and how to do it right.)
  • Get more appointments made and kept? (Parents want their student-athlete to play college sports and they have a certain self-gratification attached to getting their student-athlete recruited by a college and offered an athletic scholarship.)
  • Get more referrals and testimonials? (Student-athletes yield better quality clients. Facilitating the successful recruiting of a student-athlete will create a natural base for referrals and testimonies and your clients will become bird dogs for other clients.)
  • Get a higher closing ratio? (You're initially dealing with the student-athlete and the athletic recruiting process, not the parents and their financials. This allows the college planner to build a much stronger relationship prior to engaging the family as a financial planning client.)
  • Get clients that are forced to address earlier planning needs? (College coaches must begin their recruiting process when the student-athlete is a HS sophomore and junior. This allows the planner more time to reposition income and assets, and implement other cash flow strategies, that will yield better money saving results, than when dealing with a HS senior with less time to plan.)
  • Get an opportunity to increase your fees? (You can take your fees over a 2 to 3 year period working with HS sophomore and juniors, rather than the standard one year fee for working with HS seniors.)
  • Get more transitions to total financial planning? (You're building better relationships with families through the athletic recruiting process. You can build a strong relationship first and then transition into financial planning later.)

If so, the Student-Athlete Rx Program can help you achieve ALL of the above and much more!

The Problem

Many HS athletes MISS OUT on athletic scholarships because:

  • The athletes go un-noticed by colleges that are out of their local media area, or
  • The athletes wait till their senior year of HS and hope that colleges will come to them, or
  • The athletes/family has an unrealistic opinion of their athletic abilities and apply ONLY to NCAA Division I schools, even though many Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools would pay them big money to play sports at their school, or
  • The athletes don't even attempt to get recruited because they ASSUME they won't be successful.

But by far the biggest problem is that families don’t know how to navigate the recruiting process, but the high school coach doesn’t have the time to help… yet the family will blame the coach for this!

The Solution

The fact is, only 10% of all college athletes get a full-ride scholarship, which means that 90% of all potential college athletes will only get a partial scholarship, at best.

But that’s great news if you’re a financial advisor!

If you could show those 90% that won’t get a full ride athletic scholarship:

  • How to market themselves to colleges to get recruited, and
  • How to maximize their potential athletic scholarship,

Then you would have the best “relationship building” program for financial advisors on the market today. That’s exactly what the Student-Athlete Rx program is all about.

  1. It provides the student-athlete with a complete do-it-yourself recruiting / marketing kit that allows him or her to build a complete recruiting package (including cover letter, athletic profile, progress updates, etc.) to send to the colleges, and
  2. It allows you to use this new relationship to develop a financial game plan for the parents to pay the balance of college expenses, and
  3. It allows you to easily transition from "college planning" to "retirement planning".

The Opportunity

Athletics today is a HUGE drawing card.

When was the last time you attended an academic event? They don’t have many because they’re not popular! Now look at the number of people that attend sporting events. It’s huge! Why do you think so many insurance and mutual fund companies spend millions of dollars to sponsor sports events like football, basketball, and golf?

Because of the exposure they get due to the popularity of sports!

Do you think athletics can do the same for your business? Do you think helping student athletes to market themselves to colleges to get athletic scholarships can get you the same exposure that companies are willing pay millions of dollars to get? Absolutely!

If you can say YES to any of the above questions, you may already have a ready-made market for your financial planning practice.

Are you a female financial advisor, or do you have daughters that are currently involved in sports? Would like to use the current problem with TITLE IX regulations (women’s equality in college sports) as a platform for recognition in your community?

The point is there are many opportunities to use sports as the marketing platform for your financial planning business. And there are equally as many groups that you can develop relationships with that could vault your current financial planning practice to new levels, such as:

  • HS Coaches
  • HS Athletic Directors
  • Booster Clubs
  • Sports Clubs (soccer etc.)
  • Sports Camps
  • Youth Groups
  • YMCA
  • Talent Scouts & Sports Promoters
  • Golf Pros
  • Sports Leagues (Golf, baseball, etc.)
  • Athletic Associations (AAU, etc.)

Even advertising takes on a new dimension when dealing with sports. Have you ever placed an ad for your financial planning business? The results were lousy, weren’t they? Do you think advertising in the sports page for a program to help local athletes get recruited and get scholarships would do a bit better? You bet it will.

Why? What section of your newspaper gets read first, and read cover to cover? Yes…the sports page. And who will see your ad in that sports page while they’re reading about their athlete’s latest game? Yes… your potential clients!

Even your seminars will take on a new dimension. Have you ever done a financial planning, or retirement, seminar? More lousy results, right? Do you think parents will come to hear how to get their student an athletic scholarship? Do you think you will be able to develop a better relationship, faster, by maximizing their ability to fund college with the minimum out-of-pocket expenditure to them? Yes again!

And speaking of sports…which sport should you concentrate on? Well that depends.

  • Some advisors may choose to concentrate on the most popular revenue-producing sports, such as football and basketball, because they have contacts in these sports.
  • Some advisors may choose to concentrate on golf because they belong to a country club and play three times a week. This is an especially attractive market for advisors who deal with high-end clients (Did you know of a student that plays high school golf and comes from a low-income family? There aren't any!)
  • Some advisors may choose to concentrate on women's sports and TITLE IX issues.

Whichever sport(s) you choose to concentrate on, there are more sports than your can handle! There are well over twenty different recognized college sports, for both women and men, in the NCAA (Division I, II and III) and the NAIA.

Will you effectively be able to work with student-athletes in all these sports?

Probably not, but you could hire an ex-coach to work directly with the student-athlete. If you hire 10-20 different well-known ex-coaches to cover 10-20 sports, you could build a huge marketing force to help you market, or feed you leads. Coaches understand the value of the Student-Athlete Rx program and the process of self-marketing the athlete to colleges. You could pay them out of your fee to work directly with the student-athlete on their letter, resume, updates, etc., while you work with the parents on financial matters.

You could even get a well-known area athlete, or coach, to help promote your seminars. This would help you get a tremendous amount of exposure for your business. Best of all…

You can even start developing your market prior to purchasing the Student-Athlete Rx program.

We had an advisor contact a well-known Catholic high school coach in his area and the advisor e-mailed the coach the below link so the coach could observe the details of the Student-Athlete Rx program BEFORE the advisor bought the program. Check it out…

If you have a high speed connection (DSL), click here.

The Catholic coach became excited and told the advisor he wants to work with him to recruit middle school athletes to his HIGH SCHOOL! Since private high schools can recruit anywhere, the coach wants to do seminars to show families all over the state that not only will they develop their boys to be top football players, but they will later provide the Student-Athlete Rx self-marketing program to help them get recruited by colleges. Talk about an OPPORTUNITY for the advisor to get exposure!

In another case, a financial advisor got his Broker/Dealer to sponsor the Student-Athlete Rx program and pay for the seminars. The ONLY reason they did this was that it dealt with youth sports and athletics.

How the Student-Athlete Rx Program Works

The Student-Athlete Rx Program provides you (the college planner) with a step-by-step procedure guide and materials that allow the family to self-promote and market the student-athlete to colleges.

It is very important that student-athletes (with behind-the-scenes help from the parents) market themselves to colleges because the college coach:

  1. Wants to see a self-disciplined, independent, and even aggressive student-athlete who can take charge of their own life.
  2. Must believe that the student-athlete really wants to attend THEIR college, and
  3. Will usually toss out letters and resumes from families who appear to have used (hired) a professional recruiting (marketing) company to market their student-athlete. These professional packages are mass produced and usually include many other athletes' resumes, who are also attempting to receive offers. This obvious lack of personalization gives the coach the perception that the student-athlete is just trying to get the best deal and not truly interested in THEIR college.

Therefore, the student-athlete (family) should do the actual self-promotion and marketing work themselves. You (the advisor) will only facilitate and advise the student-athlete and family on this process.

However, since 90% of all student-athletes will only get a partial scholarship, at best; the real opportunity for the financial advisor is to help the family plan in advance for paying the balance of their college expenses. This advanced planning allows the advisor to easily transition into other financial planning areas at the right time. If the student-athlete should than end up with a full-ride scholarship, all the better, because that’s just more cash flow that the parents can use to fund their retirement.

It’s a WIN-WIN scenario for both the family and the advisor!

The Student-Athlete Rx Marketing Program includes a step-by-step guide called “Marketing the Student-Athlete To Colleges”, and recruiting templates for the student-athlete. EVERYTHING they need to market their athletic talents to colleges.

This is the ultimate tool to attract clients. Once you attract the client, the Student-Athlete Rx program provides a simple 3-step system to close the sale.

Step 1: The advisor puts together the Student-Athlete Rx Self-Marketing Kit, which includes:

  1. The Self-Marketing Guide - "Marketing the Student-Athlete To Colleges", and
  2. The Recruiting Templates CD (letter, resume, tracking system and progress report update), and presents it to the student-athlete and family as a value-added component of their fee-based college planning service.

This material goes in a professional looking binder and the advisor offers it to the student-athlete and family as a value-added component of their fee-based college planning service.

Step 2: The student-athlete (family) uses the Self-Marketing Kit to put together a personal self-marketing package to send out to the colleges they choose. The advisor ONLY helps facilitate and advise the student-athlete (family) on this self-marketing process.

Step 3: The financial advisor proceeds to work on the various financial strategies to help the family pay the balance of college expenses (which naturally transitions into other financial planning opportunities).

It’s just that simple and easy!!!
